In the film by Sony Animated Pictures “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2”, real
world physics are pushed beyond its limits to show an audience a dramatize
visual for an entertaining story.
2. Water
is turned into Animals made out of food by the FLDSMDFR
a. Flint’s
invention was thought to be destroyed in the first film but it turns out it
survives and has evolved; now with great power the machine can rearrange water
molecules to create foodimals (food+animals).
b. The
machine changed the entire climate of the island so that life it created can
survive on the island
3. Laws
of Inertia are broken
a. This
film has certain scenes where the characters do not follow the law of inertia.
b. When
many scientist travel in the elevator to their desks the elevator travels at
very high speeds and then just shoots the scientist out when they arrive at their
desks. Flint lands and stops and is unharmed.
c. When
chicken suit guy is attacked by a SpiderBurger he is launched into the air and
lands on Earl the Police man and stops his movement.
d. When
Flint is running fast away from a stampede he runs into a free hanging mail
box, the mail box moves.
4. Exaggerated
paths of action
a. There
are many paths of action is this film that don’t correspond to real life physics.
b. Earl
the policeman seems to so quick and strong and being able to do backflips in
the air without needing to stabilize at some point.
c. The
way Chester V moves with his arms and his whole body don’t apply to the human
physics.
d. When
the group is on the coconut river they seem to be traveling the right path of
action.
5. Conclusion
a. Laws
of physics are intentionally broken
b. To
break the laws of physics provides the audience better visuals that exaggerate
the story in a more fun and entertaining way.
